Job summary

Suir Engineering Ltd. invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor on an Offaly-based Energy Power and Renewable project. The successful candidate will own commercial and contractual requirements, manage sub-contractors, and produce cost and cashflow reporting.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying.
• 5+ years’ experience working as a Project QS.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Civils experience.
• Experience in electrical/mechanical projects is an advantage.
• Ability to prioritise workload with attention to detail.
• Ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
• Enjoy working as part of a high performing team.

Responsibilities

• Management and ownership of the commercial and contractual requirements through the life cycle of the project.
• Interface with Client Commercial/Contract Team.
• Project procurement including sub-contractors.
• Conduct cost and risk analysis.
• Review incoming correspondence to identify contractually critical items and respond accordingly.
• Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors.
• Provide project costing, margin & cashflow reports.
• Manage project change order procedures and costs with client.
