THE ROLE

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial ownership of marquee projects from procurement through to final accounts. Managing an active and varied portfolio, you will drive profitability, manage risk, and mentor junior team members, working in close alignment with the regional management team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Commercial Leadership: Oversee the full financial life cycle of major residential, apartment, and public sector developments.
• Procurement & Packages: Formulate procurement strategies, negotiate high‑value subcontractor packages, and manage ongoing commercial relationships.
• Cost Management: Drive robust cost control, cash flow forecasting, and detailed monthly commercial reporting (CVRs).
• Variations & Valuations: Manage interim valuations, final accounts, and contract variations efficiently to maximize project margins.
• Team Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to Project and Assistant Quantity Surveyors within the regional team.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Education: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial discipline.
• Experience: 6+ years of main contractor experience in Ireland or the UK, ideally managing a mix of residential and public works (GCCC) contracts.
• Project Versatility: Proven track record delivering housing estates, apartments, or public building projects from inception to handover.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong measurement, negotiation, and contract administration skills (knowledge of modern QS software is highly valued).
• Leadership: Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead meetings and drive commercial performance.
