Job summary

ProSource Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team in Cork City. You will lead the commercial delivery of residential and commercial schemes, ensuring value for money and strong cost control.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in QS or related field and a minimum of five years' relevant Irish experience, including brownfield projects. A clear path for long-term progression is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying within the Irish construction industry.
• Experience on residential and/or commercial projects; brownfield experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of residential and commercial construction projects from commencement through to final account.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
• Procure and manage subcontractor and supplier packages.
• Prepare and assess variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure strong commercial performance.
• Identify commercial risks and implement effective cost control measures.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
• Provide regular commercial reporting to senior management.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to secure a long-term role in Cork without the need to travel extensively. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial delivery of major projects while benefiting from genuine career progression within an expanding contractor. Responsibilities

• Strong commercial awareness and contract administration skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational abilities.
