Job summary

ProSource Recruitment Limited in Dublin is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join a leading international construction and engineering group. You will take responsibility for the commercial delivery of major Design & Build projects and work with an experienced commercial team.

The role offers exposure to large-scale schemes across building, infrastructure, rail, energy and off-site manufacturing, with opportunities for professional development and progression within a globally

Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
  • Experience working towards professional accreditation.
  • 2+ years in the construction industry.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience on large Design & Build contracts advantageous.
  • Knowledge of claims, dispute resolution, and contract law beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare tenders, analyse subcontractor returns, negotiate and finalise subcontract orders.
  • Manage the financial and commercial aspects of subcontractors through to final account.
  • Prepare valuations, variations, forecasts, and projected final accounts.
  • Maintain accurate site records, measurements and commercial documentation.
  • Monitor project costs, targets, risks and opportunities.
  • Work closely with site management to identify and challenge commercial matters.
  • Implement commercial strategies and protect contractual entitlements.
  • Participate in contract value reviews and maintain accurate commercial reporting.
  • Support cash management activities and maintain strong project cash flow.
  • Supervise and support Assistant and Trainee Quantity Surveyors where required.
  • Support tender processes and wider commercial activities across the business.

Company Intro / Summary A leading international construction and engineering group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing construction team based in Dublin. With a strong presence across Ireland, the UK and Europe, the business delivers major projects across building, infrastructure, rail, energy and off-site manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join a market‑leading organisation and take responsibility for the commercial delivery of major construction projects. The successful candidate will gain exposure to large-scale Design & Build projects while working alongside an experienced commercial and project team.

Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Experience working towards relevant professional accreditation.
  • 2+ years' experience within the construction industry.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with larger Design & Build contracts would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of claims, dispute resolution, and contract law would be beneficial.
  • Experience working on contracts valued at €15m+ would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with site and commercial teams.

Package Salary: €60,000 €70,000 DOE.
