Job summary

Intact Insurance Ireland is seeking a Senior Property & Liability Underwriter – Existing Business to profitably grow and manage a portfolio of Property, Liability and SME business. You will balance technical excellence with commercial judgement and leverage strong broker relationships to deliver outstanding service.

Based in Dublin, the role collaborates across Underwriting, Distribution, Pricing, Claims and Risk Management to drive retention, revenue growth and robust controls, while

Qualifications

• At least five years' relevant commercial insurance experience.
• CIP qualified, or an equivalent recognised insurance qualification. Progress towards MDI, ACII or another relevant advanced qualification would be an advantage.
• Strong technical underwriting knowledge with the ability to assess risk and set terms within delegated authority.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite for profitable growth within delegated authority and risk appetite.
• Drive portfolio performance and manage a panel of risks to deliver retention and revenue growth.
• Build trusted broker partnerships aligned with customer proposition and underwriting appetite.
• Apply consistent risk selection, pricing and underwriting judgement with high-quality records.
