Job summary

Intact Insurance is seeking a Senior Property & Liability Underwriter – Existing Business to grow and manage a profitable portfolio of Property, Liability and SME business. You will combine technical underwriting excellence with strong broker relationships to retain valued customers and deliver an outstanding experience.

You will work with Dublin Trading Team and wider business, maintaining underwriting discipline and operating within risk appetite, delegated authority and standards while

Qualifications

• Five years' relevant commercial insurance experience
• CIP qualification, progress towards MDI/ACII advantageous
• Strong technical underwriting knowledge and risk assessment ability
• Sound commercial judgment with profitability focus
• Proven ability to build productive broker relationships
• Analytical, negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Underwrite for profitable growth within delegated authority and risk appetite
• Manage an agreed portfolio to deliver retention and revenue growth
• Develop and maintain broker relationships aligned with strategy
• Apply consistent risk selection, pricing and underwriting judgment
• Deliver customer-driven, practical and sustainable solutions
• Support governance with audits, reviews and quality assurance
• Use market, claims, broker insight to shape decisions
• Collaborate across underwriting, distribution, pricing, claims and risk management
