Auxilia Group Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Project Manager on behalf of our client, an established company within the building engineering services sector. This is a 12 - 18 month contract opportunity based in Dublin. The role offers a hybrid working model.
Role Overview
Our client, a leading organisation operating within the construction, engineering and infrastructure sector, is embarking on a significant digital transformation initiative centred on the replacement of its legacy Facilities Management platform with a modern Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) solution.
Having completed the software selection and procurement process, the organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager on a contract basis to lead the successful implementation and deployment of the new platform across the business.
This role will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the project including governance, vendor management, configuration, integrations, testing, data migration, business readiness, training, deployment and operational handover.
This is a hands‑on project management role and the successful candidate will have demonstrable experience delivering CAFM system implementations in a complex environment.
This is a high-profile project with significant visibility across leadership, operations, facilities and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall Facilities Management System implementation from initiation through to operational handover.
- Establish project structure, governance and present project status reports, risks, financial updates and key decisions to senior leadership stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plan and delivery schedule, proactively resolving delivery challenges and issues to ensure all milestones are achieved within agreed timelines.
- Identify, monitor and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring appropriate escalation and resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Own project financial performance, with full accountability for budgets and cost control.
CAFM System Implementation
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of the selected CAFM system across multiple workstreams, working closely with CAFM solution provider and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
- Act as primary point of contact for the CAFM solution provider, managing delivery performance, contractual commitments, resource allocation, quality standards and issue resolution.
- Lead process design workshops with business workstreams to gather, validate and document business requirements, define future‑state operating processes, identify opportunities for process improvement and standardisation, and ensure these processes are effectively supported by the CAFM system functionality and wider business process redesign, where required.
- Coordinate integration activities between the CAFM platform and enterprise systems (e.g. ERP, Finance etc), ensuring seamless data flow, process alignment and operational continuity.
- Oversee system, integration and user acceptance testing activities, ensuring business requirements are validated and signed off prior to deployment.
- Ensure the CAFM solution is fully configured, tested and operationally ready, with an appropriate ongoing support model established across both Business and IT, including support processes, governance, ownership structures, roles and responsibilities for ongoing management.
Data Migration
- Develop and execute the data migration strategy, including data mapping, migration planning and readiness assessments.
- Lead the cleansing, validation and migration of asset, maintenance, facilities and operational data from legacy system to the new CAFM platform.
- Manage data verification, reconciliation, user sign-off, cutover and go‑live activities to ensure data integrity and a controlled transition from legacy system to the new CAFM platform.
Change Management & Business Adoption
- Lead organisational change, stakeholder engagement and communication initiatives to drive business readiness, user adoption and the successful implementation of the new CAFM system.
- Coordinate the development and delivery of training programmes and support materials for end users and key stakeholders.
- Work with Business and IT stakeholders to ensure the post‑go‑live support model is embedded, understood and ready for transition, including escalation paths, service ownership, knowledge transfer and hyper care arrangements.
Experience
- Minimum 8+ years project management experience managing complex system implementation projects within construction, engineering, infrastructure, facilities management, utilities or other asset‑intensive environments.
- Proven track record of leading complex system implementation projects, including multi-disciplinary teams, system integrations, data migration, third‑party vendors and technology partners, delivering successful outcomes on time, within budget and to a high standard.
- Demonstrable experience leading at least one end‑to‑end Facilities Management System implementation, with knowledge of GeoPal (Totalmobile) or similar CAFM platform being essential.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Information Systems, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline.
