Contract Manager (Facilities Management) – Dublin

Our client, a leading international facilities management and services provider, is now seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the role of Contract Manager on a long-term facilities management contract covering a major education campus in Dublin city centre. Reporting to the Contract Director, you will lead a team of managers, technicians and frontline staff responsible for the day-to-day delivery of hard and soft FM services under agreed SLAs, including planned preventative maintenance, reactive works and a lifecycle programme, with a strong focus on commercial management, legislative compliance and continuous improvement within agreed budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders and customers at all levels, ensuring excellent customer service to meet contract expectations.
- Support the overall delivery of FM operations across contract delivery, M&E services, legislative compliance and contractor management.
- Achieve KPI and SLA targets, ensure consistency across the full range of services and attend stakeholder meetings to monitor service delivery standards.
- Line management responsibility for site-based service managers, including motivating, developing and performance reviewing managers and teams.
- Deliver the contract within agreed budgetary parameters, manage monthly financial commitments, maximise revenue and optimise expenditure.
- Build relationships with service partners, attend regular planned meetings and ensure full co-operation as required.
- Oversee FM management systems for site operations to ensure jobs are appropriately logged and reported.
- Oversee the resourcing and management of project works, including equipment upgrades and building and M&E asset replacements.
- Cultivate innovation and best practice and share it across the wider business unit.
- Act as a key member of the Emergency Response, Incident Management and Business Continuity teams, with 24/7 phone availability.
- Manage multiple contractors and vendors to deliver services on time and within budget, and run vendor procurement in line with agreed procurement guidelines.
- Implement and manage safety procedures to provide a safe and secure working environment.
- Lead all mobilisation requirements across the contract portfolio.
Requirements
- Third level qualification in Building Services, Facilities Management, Engineering or a related discipline, plus a recognised facilities management professional qualification.
- 3 to 5 years' experience in an operations capacity, including previous management of FM contracts and a demonstrated ability to influence change.
- Experience managing a multi‑disciplinary technical and operational team, with strong people management, coaching and team building skills.
- A working understanding of the technical aspects of FM, including HVAC, fire protection, mechanical and electrical systems and BMS.
- Proven capacity to understand and interpret commercial contracts, with an intelligent approach to performance monitoring and compliance reporting.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification and IWFM (formerly BIFM), CIBSE or equivalent accredited body membership.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, a passion for quality, flexibility and a proven ability to initiate and follow through on improvement initiatives.
- Must satisfy Garda vetting requirements.
