Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Senior Specialist, Product Development on the SME team to drive hands-on product work for B2B payments. You will translate concepts into market-ready requirements, collaborate with Engineering and Architecture, and help design API-first platforms that empower Small Businesses and Mid-Market clients.

You will own backlog, define epics and user stories, measure outcomes, and partner with internal and external providers to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

Relevant bachelor's degree is preferable.
Experience/strong understanding of B2B payments, including AP, AR and virtual cards, ideally with some ERP integration experience.
Experience in product development or technical product management.
Technical fluency: comfortable with both software development and product management, with hands-on API, data flows and integration requirements.
Experience writing epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, including security, performance and scalability requirements.
Strong ability to understand customer needs and build customer-centric products.
Excellent research and analytical skills, with a focus on turning insights into actionable product improvements.
Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Figma, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Data Science, Design, and Technical Program Management teams to define, prioritize, and deliver platform capabilities.
Translate problems, objectives, and opportunities into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.
Own product backlog management, feature prioritization, and requirements refinement with clear dependencies and success metrics.
Design scalable platform capabilities, APIs, integration frameworks, data models, and workflows.
Collaborate with development teams through the software lifecycle from design to post-launch optimization.
Define integration requirements and support third-party solutions that accelerate delivery and value.
Measure feature adoption and platform performance, translating insights into improvements.
Maintain product documentation and provide updates to stakeholders on progress and performance.
