Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Specialist, Product Development for its SME and mid-market teams. You will drive new capabilities from concept through market validation, turning validated ideas into product requirements and collaborating with Engineering on API-first solutions.

You will manage epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria while partnering with Architecture, Data Science, and Design teams to deliver scalable platform capabilities across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

Relevant bachelor's degree is preferable.
Experience/strong understanding of B2B payments, including AP, AR and virtual cards, ideally with some experience of ERP systems and partner integration.
Experience in product development or technical product management.
Technical fluency: comfortable with both software development and product management, with hands-on experience defining APIs, data flows and integration requirements.
Experience writing epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, including non-functional requirements such as security, performance and scalability.
Strong ability to understand customer needs and build customer-centric products.
Excellent research and analytical skills, with a focus on turning insights from multiple sources into actionable product improvements.
Proficiency in tools such as Aha!, Jira and Confluence, and Figma.
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with and influence people across the organisation.

Responsibilities

Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Data Science, Design, and Technical Program Management teams to define, prioritize, and deliver platform capabilities.
Apply Working Backwards methodology to translate problems, objectives and market opportunities into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical requirements.
Own product backlog management, feature prioritization, and requirements refinement activities for clear requirements and delivery-ready specs.
Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to design scalable platform capabilities, APIs, integration frameworks, data models, and workflows.
Work with development teams throughout the software lifecycle from design to post-launch optimization.
Partner with internal and external technology providers to define integration requirements and support third-party capabilities.
Leverage product, operational and customer data to measure feature adoption and translate insights into improvements.
Maintain product documentation, requirements, use cases, and release docs; update stakeholders on roadmap progress.
