Job summary

Mastercard Inc. is seeking a Senior Specialist, Product Development on the SME team to drive new capabilities from concept to market validation and requirements, collaborating with Engineering and Architecture to design API‑first products for Small and Mid‑Market customers.

You will translate customer problems into epics, manage backlogs, and work with diverse teams to deliver scalable platform capabilities and integration frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferable.
• Experience in B2B payments including AP, AR and virtual cards; ERP and partner integration is a plus.
• Proven experience in product development or technical product management.
• Fluency with APIs, data flows and integration requirements; hands‑on with software and product management.
• Experience writing epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, including non‑functional requirements (security, performance, scalability).
• Strong ability to understand customer needs and build customer‑centric products.
• Proficient with Aha!, Jira, Confluence, and Figma; excellent communication and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, prioritize and deliver platform capabilities with Engineering, Architecture, Data Science, Design and TPM teams.
• Translate problems and opportunities into epics, features, user stories and technical requirements.
• Own backlog management, prioritization, and delivery‑ready specifications for engineering teams.
• Design scalable platform capabilities, APIs, integration frameworks, data models and workflows.
• Collaborate across the SDLC from solution design to production rollout and optimization.
• Define integration requirements with internal and external providers to accelerate delivery.
• Measure feature adoption and platform performance to drive continuous improvements.
• Maintain comprehensive product documentation and release materials for stakeholders.
