Job summary

The Irish Times Group is seeking a Senior Product Data Analyst to become the analytical specialist for app products. You will work with App Product and Technology teams to understand performance, user behavior and opportunities behind the numbers.

You will lead analytics across the Apps product stream, investigate data movements, measure new features, and provide clear recommendations to Product and Technology teams. This is a hands-on role within the Group Analytics team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional data or analytics experience at a senior level.
• Strong SQL skills and direct work with large datasets.
• Hands-on experience using Power BI or similar for dashboards and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
• Ability to scope analytic work and translate questions into structured approaches.
• Experience developing recurring reporting or longer-term analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary analytical partner for Apps (Mobile & Web Platforms).
• Analyze customer journeys, engagement, feature adoption, conversion and retention.
• Build evidence to identify data anomalies and data pipeline issues.
• Write SQL and work directly with underlying data to support decisions.
• Validate analytics after releases and provide clear recommendations to stakeholders.
• Turn analysis into recommendations for Product and senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product and Technology teams and contribute to BI reporting.
