Job summary

CarGurus in Dublin is seeking a Product Data Analyst to lead analytics for the local product team. You will navigatе complex data environments, build scalable data assets, and drive site experimentation across our global marketplaces.

The role requires deep SQL fluency, solid statistics background, and experience with Looker/dbt and modern data tooling. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams, influencing product strategy with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 2+ years in analytics or analytics-adjacent field.
• Expert fluency in SQL; experience with Python, R, Stata, or SAS.
• Solid understanding of core statistical concepts (regression, significance testing, bias).
• GenAI tooling experience to optimize workflows and using agentic coding platforms (Claude Code or Cursor).
• Proven ability to present findings to executives and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep-dive analyses across diverse data sources to quantify product performance and user behavior.
• Define metrics and build automated dashboards to guide executive decision-making (via Looker, etc.).
• Lead A/B testing guidance and improve testing tools, algorithms, and processes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to optimize architecture and build scalable data transformations (dbt/LookML).
• Translate complex quantitative findings into clear takeaways for senior leadership.
