Job summary

Cumming Group UK & Europe is seeking an experienced PMO Lead to own planning, reporting, governance, and control across major infrastructure programmes in Ireland. You will implement robust PMO systems and drive performance across the lifecycle of projects.

The role supports project directors and delivery teams, with flexibility for Dublin or Cork offices and travel to sites as needed. You will mentor staff and uphold corporate standards.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or related discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience in project controls or PMO in infrastructure sector.
• Experience managing capital works in roads, rail, water utilities or public realm.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta Powerproject.
• Advanced MS Excel and Power BI for reporting and dashboards.
• Certification in project controls or PMO preferred.
• Experience in client-side PMOs or consultancy environments.
• Experience with digital delivery and BIM within controls processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of project controls frameworks across infrastructure programmes.
• Manage schedule, cost, risk, change, and performance management across multiple projects.
• Establish PMO governance structures to ensure reporting accuracy and project accountability.
• Oversee preparation of integrated master schedules, cost plans, earned value reports, and dashboards.
• Identify trends, variances, and risks; propose mitigating actions to keep programmes on track.
• Provide assurance and audit functions across planning, budgeting, and reporting disciplines.
• Lead monthly reporting cycles, client updates, and steering group packs with high-quality data insights.
• Support procurement and commercial functions through planning and forecasting inputs.
• Develop PMO tools, templates, and systems aligning with ISO standards and best practice.
• Mentor junior project controls staff and foster continuous improvement.
• Act as liaison between client PMOs and delivery teams for alignment.
