Job summary

U.S. Bank / Elavon is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to lead strategic customer engagements and shape complex payment and integration solutions across Europe.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, partners, and senior internal stakeholders, combining payments expertise with technical leadership. You will collaborate across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Professional Services to drive growth, expand our Solution Engineering capability, and mentor the European team.

Qualifications

• Experience in payments, acquiring, gateways, fintech or payment technology.
• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and payment ecosystems.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise customers and complex technical sales engagements.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy for enterprise and strategic payment opportunities.
• Design scalable payment and integration solutions for customers and partners.
• Act as a subject matter expert across acquiring, payment gateways, APIs, ecommerce, and omnichannel solutions.
• Deliver technical workshops, solution presentations, and executive briefings.
• Support RFPs, customer bids, and complex solution design activities.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Professional Services teams to drive successful outcomes.
• Mentor Solution Engineers and contribute to the growth of the European Solution Engineering practice.
• Stay at the forefront of payment technology and industry trends.
