Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Solution Engineer to join Elavon's European Global Solution Consulting team. As the senior technical leader within our Pre-Sales and Solution Engineering function, you will lead strategic customer engagements, shape complex payment and integration solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, partners, and senior internal stakeholders. This is a highly visible role where you will combine deep payments expertise, technical leadership, and commercial acumen to influence some of Europe's largest and most complex payment opportunities. You will play a key role in expanding Elavon's Solution Engineering capability, driving technical excellence, and helping customers realize the full value of our products, platforms, and services. Beyond supporting strategic opportunities, you will help define the future of Solution Engineering across Europe through thought leadership, mentoring, and the development of scalable technical consulting practices. Working closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Professional Services, and Integration teams, you will contribute to the evolution of Elavon's payment solutions while enabling business growth and exceptional customer outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Lead technical strategy for enterprise and strategic payment opportunities.
• Design scalable payment and integration solutions for customers and partners.
• Act as a subject matter expert across acquiring, payment gateways, APIs, e-commerce, and omnichannel solutions.
• Deliver technical workshops, solution presentations, and executive briefings.
• Support RFPs, customer bids, and complex solution design activities.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Professional Services teams to drive successful outcomes.
• Mentor Solution Engineers and contribute to the growth of the European Solution Engineering practice.
• Stay at the forefront of payment technology and industry trends.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience within payments, acquiring, gateways, fintech, or payment technology.
• Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, transaction processing, APIs, and integration architectures.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise customers and complex technical sales engagements.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience presenting to technical and executive audiences.
• A passion for solving complex challenges and helping customers succeed.

What Will Set You Apart

• Experience with payment gateways, e-commerce, and API-based integrations.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, EMV, tokenization, and payment security principles.
• Strong solution architecture and consulting skills.
• Experience mentoring technical teams and influencing across matrix organisations.
• This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
