Job summary

The Panel is seeking a Banking Payments Solution Architect to join a major Payments transformation programme in Dublin. This hands-on architecture role centers on real-time Faster Payments, SEPA, and ISO 20022 messaging within a hybrid work setup.

You will own end-to-end architecture, design payment orchestration, and lead governance reviews, ensuring robust controls across the payment journey in a regulated FS environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in solution architecture with 5+ years in large-scale payments transformation.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 20022 and real-time payments ecosystems.
• Experience with payment hubs/engines and integration with core banking platforms.
• Experience across Kafka, containerisation (Kubernetes/OpenShift/Docker) and AWS.
• Experience in a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

We're partnering with a leading FS client on a major Payments transformation programme, and we're looking for a Banking Payments Solution Architect to join the team.

This is a hands-on architecture role at the centre of a real-time faster payments ongoing programmes.

What you'll be doing:

• Owning end-to-end solution architecture for the Banking Payments programme
• Designing payment orchestration, message transformation, and ISO 20022 messaging
• Architecting compliance, fraud, and funds-verification controls across the payment journey
• Defining event-driven, microservices-based integration patterns (Kafka or equivalent)
• Leading architecture governance and design authority reviews

What we're looking for:

• 10+ years in solution architecture, with 5+ years on large-scale payments transformation including background in SEPA, BACS, CHAPS, Faster Payments, SWIFT & CARDS etc.. etc..
• Strong knowledge of Banking Payments systems, ISO 20022, and real-time payments ecosystems
• Experience with payment hubs/engines and integrating them with core banking platforms
• Comfortable across Kafka, Kubernetes, OpenShift/Docker, and AWS
• Experience in a regulated financial services environment
