Job summary

ESB Networks Engineering, based in Dublin, seeks a Specialist Lead to design and deliver high‑voltage OHL projects from 38 kV to 400 kV. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure safety compliance under PSDP, and drive programme delivery with strong contract management and stakeholder engagement.

The role is based in ESB's Dublin office with smart working; some nationwide travel is required. Applicants should have a Level 8 Engineering degree and at least 7 years in OHL design, with

Qualifications

• Level 8 engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in OHL design.
• Strong knowledge of OHL design and PLS CADD expertise.
• Experience as Lead Engineer for OHL projects and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of 400 kV OHL projects within HV Linear Assets.
• Provide technical expertise for HV specialist design and OHL verification.
• Oversee PSDP responsibilities and safety planning for design/construction.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, budgets and quality targets.
• Engage with internal/external stakeholders to drive project delivery.
