Job summary

Meath County Council's Information Systems Department seeks an experienced Information Systems Project Leader to steer the planning, development, control and maintenance of Business Applications & Enterprise Systems. The role involves hands-on leadership, security liaison, and overseeing complex ICT projects to deliver secure, reliable services.

You will work with the Head of IS, manage resources, align with ITIL practices, and drive continuous improvement across the department's architecture

Qualifications

• Lead planning, development, control and maintenance of Business Applications & Enterprise Systems.
• Act as senior internal ICT specialist, resolving complex technical issues.
• Coordinate with Information Security Team on security initiatives.
• Manage IT projects, incidents, requests and problem management.
• Oversee budget planning and cost control for the IS section.

Responsibilities

• Lead the selection, design, procurement, implementation and support of Business Applications & Enterprise Systems.
• Oversee complex Information Systems projects and service delivery.
• Liaise with Information Security Team to progress security initiatives.
• Manage an IT team and apply ITIL best practices.
• Collaborate with other IS Project Leaders on Digital Transformation and Networks.
• Ensure the portfolio operates efficiently, securely and in compliance.
