Job summary

E-Frontiers in Ireland is seeking a Head of IT to own the IT function across multiple sites in Ireland and the UK. You will shape and deliver IS/IT strategy, ensuring secure, scalable systems and infrastructure while reporting to Head of Finance.

This senior role requires leading internal IT teams and external partners, driving transformation, cyber security, disaster recovery, budgeting and procurement, and translating technology opportunities into business value for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Head of IT or similar senior technology leadership role.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies and enterprise applications.
• Experience developing and implementing IT strategy within a complex organisation.
• Proven experience leading IT teams and managing external suppliers and MSPs.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, disaster recovery, backup, networks, servers, storage and end-user technology.
• Experience delivering technology implementations, integrations and transformation programmes.
• Strong commercial awareness, including IT budgeting, procurement and supplier management.
• Experience managing change and communicating technology strategy to senior stakeholders.
• A degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline; postgraduate qualification advantageous.

• Develop and manage the annual IT budget, including technology investment and procurement.
• Ensure systems and infrastructure deliver appropriate levels of performance, availability and resilience.
• Assess emerging technologies and identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
• Provide senior leadership with clear advice on the cost, value, risks and opportunities associated with technology investment.
• Lead technology change and implementation programmes across a multi-site environment.

Head of IT

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of IT to take ownership of the IT function within a growing, multi-site organisation operating across Ireland and the UK.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the organisation's IS/IT strategy, ensuring technology supports business growth, operational efficiency and long-term commercial objectives.

This is a senior leadership position offering significant scope to influence technology strategy, infrastructure, security, systems and the wider digital agenda.

The Role

You will lead the overall IT function, developing and executing a forward-looking technology strategy while ensuring the organisation has secure, reliable and scalable systems and infrastructure.

You will manage internal IT teams alongside external technology partners and suppliers, acting as a trusted technology advisor to senior management and the wider business.

About You

We are looking for an experienced IT leader who combines strong technical understanding with commercial and strategic leadership capability.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Head of IT, Head of IS, IT Director or similar senior technology leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, cloud technologies and enterprise applications.
• Experience developing and implementing IT strategy within a complex organisation.
• Proven experience leading IT teams and managing external suppliers and managed service partners.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, disaster recovery, backup, networks, servers, storage and end-user technology.
• Experience delivering technology implementations, integrations and transformation programmes.
• Strong commercial awareness, including IT budgeting, procurement and supplier management.
• Experience managing change and communicating technology strategy to senior stakeholders.
