Job summary

Fruition Group in Dublin is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager for a daily rate contract of 6 months with strong potential for extension. You will manage a portfolio of technology projects, notably migrations from legacy systems to the cloud, and mobilize projects to align with strategic business goals.

The role requires deep understanding of project and programme management practices, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences,

Job description

Our Dublin based client are looking for an experienced and Senior IT Project Manager to join their team. Excellent opportunity with a very well known organization who are a real household name in Ireland This is a daily rate contract position for an initial 6 month contract with good potential for long term extensions

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of a portfolio of projects
• Delivery management support for technology projects that are focused on the migration of legacy systems to the cloud
• Project mobilization is an important aspect of the position
• Supporting the wider team and programme in order to meet deadlines
• Stakeholder engagement and working closely with teams and partners
• Project monitoring and control
• Be responsible for planning and directing projects deliverables so they align with the strategic vision

Experience Required

• A high level of understanding for best practices, tools and techniques for project management and programme management
• Ability to understand the technical goals and deliverables and how they impact the business
• Ability to understand the technical challenges and be able to communicate them to a technical and a non-technical audience.
• A good sense of ownership for projects and delivery timelines
• Understanding and ability to demonstrate expertise in Quality Management, Project Planning, Risk & Change management.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders and to influence stakeholders for delivery
• Excellent relationship management and the capacity to work with all levels of the business when required

Essential and Desirable Skills

• Relevant 3rd level qualification with a strong technical focus
• Excellent knowledge and proven experience of working with IT Software Development Lifecycle methodologies including Waterfall & Agile
• Have 10+ years of professional experience with a number of these managing and delivering projects
• Experience in working with third party suppliers in the delivery of business or IT change initiatives including experience of working with remote and co-located teams and vendors.
• Advanced level of proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience of implementing infrastructure or Database and software projects with big budgets
