Job summary

Westmeath County Council is inviting applications to join a panel for permanent and fixed-term posts as an IS Project Leader within the Information Systems Department. The role focuses on managing complex ICT projects, providing application support and service delivery, and reporting to the Head of Information Systems.

To succeed you should have hands-on experience in application support and development, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure, O365, Exchange Online and Azure Active

Qualifications

• Recent hands-on experience in the support or delivery of applications, systems and platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, O365, Exchange Online, and Azure Active Directory.
• Experience managing IS projects using recognised methodologies (business cases, project initiation documents, risks).
• Experience leading a technical team in IS delivery and staff development.
• Public sector procurement knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Application Support/Development & Service Delivery functions.
• Lead a technical support team and IS projects.
• Design, procure, implement and support IT applications and systems with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors.
• Represent the Council at meetings and manage budgets.
• Collaborate with external agencies and enforce IT security.
