Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking a skilled financial reporting professional to work with asset management clients on IFRS and GAAP-based engagements, including short-term staffing assignments. You will operate in a team, meet client deadlines and uphold data security practices.

Responsibilities include preparing statements, performing tie-outs, coordinating with fund administrators and using AI tools for drafting and validation.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified or equivalent IFAC qualification is required.
• 2-3 years experience in financial services sector or with top ten auditing firms focusing on financial services.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS and at least one GAAP framework.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Basic AI literacy, including effective prompting, output validation and secure handling of client information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual and interim financial statements and supporting schedules for investment funds under IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP, FRS 102 or other applicable frameworks.
• Perform financial statement tie-outs, prior-year comparisons and first-level checks; maintain clear supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors and internal reviewers to resolve queries and meet deadlines.
• Use approved AI tools for disclosure drafting, document comparison, variance summaries and checklist support.
• Validate AI-generated content against source records and elevate accounting, data or confidentiality concerns.
• Build strong relationships with client representatives.
• May also be involved in fund accounting engagements and other regulatory reporting activities.
