Job summary

eBay Inc. is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel, EMEA, to provide practical, strategic employment law guidance across Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.

You will collaborate with HR, Employee Relations, and legal colleagues to address complex issues and manage risk. You will lead advisory services for organizational changes such as restructurings and post-acquisition integrations, work with works councils, and draft agreements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years post-qualification employment law experience advising employers in Europe.
• Qualified lawyer in at least one EMEA jurisdiction.
• Experience with German and European works councils and trade unions.
• Experience with organizational restructurings, cross-border issues, and employee privacy.

Responsibilities

• Advise HR and business leaders on employment issues across six jurisdictions.
• Manage employment law advisory services for restructurings, reorganizations, outsourcing, and post-acquisition integration.
• Provide guidance on works councils and employee representative bodies.
• Draft and negotiate employment, separation, and executive compensation agreements.
• Mentor on cross-border employment matters including mobility, remote work, and AI-enabled tools.
