Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Dublin, Ireland seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to own the control system design for European air-cooled chillers. You will drive model-based control development from concept to release, and mentor engineers within a global team.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and test teams on site, and coordinate with colleagues in York, Wuxi, and Izmir to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant control solutions for European markets.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical, mechanical, software, or related engineering discipline; MS preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of controls, automation, embedded systems experience.
• Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink for control algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of model-based design for embedded systems.
• Experience leading product development and validation.

Responsibilities

• Own control system design and performance for European air-cooled chillers.
• Lead development of control algorithms and validation in lab.
• Coordinate with global teams across York, Wuxi, Izmir.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews.
• Ensure safety and compliance per EU directives and EN standards.
