Job summary

Ergo IT Recruitment Services is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a Dublin-based 12-month contract. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement and focuses on a strategic digital learning transformation for public sector stakeholders.

You will define business requirements, map processes, and drive data and content migration activities, ensuring traceability to design decisions and test criteria across the programme lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a related discipline.
• Knowledge of learning platforms would be ideal.
• Experience with digital transformation in public sector environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the implementation baseline, including scope, priorities, assumptions, dependencies and phasing.
• Consolidate business, functional and non-functional requirements into a controlled requirements register.
• Maintain traceability from each approved requirement to the design decision, configuration, acceptance criteria, test scenario and outcome.
• Analyse and document learner, trainer, administrator, professional development and organisational processes.
• Facilitate detailed workshops with business owners, users, user groups, technical specialists and the implementation partner.
• Define business requirements for data migration, including ownership, cleansing, mapping, transformation, reconciliation and validation.
• Support content owners in defining requirements for content migration, taxonomy, metadata, ownership and lifecycle management.
• Develop end-to-end User Acceptance Testing scenarios and maintain requirements coverage.
• Assess the business impact of defects, changes and proposed resolutions.
• Support operational readiness, handover, training and transition planning.
• Maintain a controlled roadmap for requirements assigned to future phases.
