Job summary

Qualifications

Client Deployment Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to work with us here at Albany Beck, supporting one of our financial services clients as part of a major multi-year strategic transformation programme.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of new infrastructure, product and client capabilities, working closely with business, product, technology and programme stakeholders.

This role requires someone with significant Financial Services experience who is comfortable working across different delivery methodologies and, importantly, has experience defining requirements for new products and capabilities from a standing start, rather than solely delivering incremental changes to existing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the gathering, analysis and documentation of complex business requirements across strategic transformation initiatives.
• Work with business, product and technology stakeholders to understand objectives and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
• Define requirements for the development of new products, services and capabilities from initial concept through to implementation.
• Analyse existing business processes, systems and operating models to identify gaps, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with senior business and technical stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Support the definition of target-state processes, operating models and solutions.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, technology teams and other Business Analysts throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support solution design, development, testing, UAT and implementation activities.
• Ensure requirements are clearly documented, understood, prioritised and traceable throughout delivery.
• Identify and manage business requirements, dependencies, risks and issues across complex projects.
• Act as a bridge between business and technology teams to ensure solutions meet the underlying business objectives.

Key Skills & Experience

• 10+ years' experience within the Financial Services industry.
• Strong experience working as a Senior Business Analyst on complex change or transformation programmes.
• Demonstrable experience gathering, analysing and documenting detailed business requirements.
• Experience defining requirements for new products, platforms or capabilities from a standing start.
• Experience working across multiple delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Strong understanding of the full project and software development lifecycle.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear requirements for technology and delivery teams.
• Experience facilitating workshops and working with senior stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working across business, product, operations and technology teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and process-mapping capabilities.
• Comfortable operating within large, complex and highly regulated Financial Services environments.

Desirable Experience

• Experience within banking, asset servicing, custody or broader capital markets environments.
• Experience delivering large-scale technology or infrastructure transformation programmes.
• Experience supporting the launch or implementation of new financial products or services.
• Knowledge of custody, back-office or settlement processes.
• Exposure to Digital Assets or Financial Markets transformation programmes.
