Job summary

Albany Beck is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead a major Digital Assets and Financial Markets transformation for a leading financial services organisation in Ireland.

You will define business requirements, translate them into Epics and User Stories, and collaborate with business, technology and vendor teams to deliver multi-year platforms for digital assets, tokenisation and digital cash.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Financial Services.
• Proven experience as Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst in large transformations.
• Strong writing of requirements as Epics, Features and User Stories.
• Understanding of financial markets and operating models.
• Experience in Custody, Securities Operations, Back Office or Settlements.
• Proven ability to work across business and technology teams.
• Experience supporting complex platform implementations or technology transformations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and define business requirements across digital asset and financial markets initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into Epics, Features and User Stories.
• Work closely with business, technology, product and delivery stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
• Support onboarding and implementation of third-party digital asset platforms.
• Assist with vendor onboarding, implementation planning and delivery timelines.
• Apply runbooks and playbooks from previous platform implementations.
• Support development of infrastructure and products related to digital assets, tokenisation and digital cash.
• Identify and develop practical use cases for new platforms.
• Ensure requirements are clearly understood and aligned across teams.

Client Deployment Role Description

Albany Beck is looking for an experienced Product Owner to support a major multi-year Digital Assets and Financial Markets transformation programme within a leading financial services organisation.

The programme is focused on developing new infrastructure, products and client capabilities across digital assets, blockchain technology, digital cash and asset tokenisation.

A key part of the role will involve supporting the implementation and onboarding of new digital asset platforms, including vendor platform onboarding, requirements definition and delivery against established implementation runbooks and playbooks.

This is an opportunity to work on a significant strategic programme involving emerging financial technologies, public blockchain infrastructure and the future development of digital asset capabilities within financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and define business requirements across complex digital asset and financial markets initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into clear Epics, Features and User Stories.
• Work closely with business, technology, product and delivery stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.

• Work with stakeholders to identify and develop practical use cases for new platforms.
• Ensure requirements are clearly understood, documented and aligned across business and technology teams.
• Support multiple strategic programmes as the wider digital asset roadmap continues to develop.

Key Skills & Experience

• 10+ years' experience within Financial Services.
• Strong experience working as a Product Owner, Business Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst within large transformation programmes.
• Excellent experience writing requirements in Epic, Feature and User Story format.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and financial services operating models.
• Experience across Custody, Securities Operations, Back Office or Settlements.
• Strong experience working across business and technology teams.
• Experience supporting complex platform implementations or technology transformation programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable Experience

• Experience within Digital Assets, Blockchain, Tokenisation or Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).
• Understanding of public blockchain technology.
• Exposure to digital cash, stablecoins or tokenised assets.
• Experience onboarding third-party technology or vendor platforms.
• Experience working with legal, procurement, risk and technology teams during vendor onboarding.
• Previous experience within Custody, Asset Servicing or Financial Markets organisations.
