Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a highly skilled L5 Principal Engineer embedded in the BET organization to lead technology strategy for new ventures. You will partner with product, sourcing and engineering to shape concepts, assess technical feasibility, and guide architectural decisions across incubation to scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8+ years in full-stack or backend engineering in agile environments.
• Experience leading design and implementation of large features or platforms.
• Strong APIs, services, distributed systems, and enterprise-grade architecture.
• Experience with LLMs, AI services, and agent/framework ecosystems.
• Proficiency in Python or Scala; Spark and SQL knowledge.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Databricks, Snowflake) for data-intensive apps.

• Serve as senior technology and architecture advisor for new business opportunities.
