Job summary

NEC Software Solutions is seeking a Senior Administrator to line-manage Administration Officers and Patient Engagement Officers, overseeing appraisals, leave and sickness reviews, and cohort communications with patients and healthcare professionals.

The role includes maintaining patient databases, ensuring timely communications, and compliant handling of PID data under data protection guidelines. A background in data integrity and office governance is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills across telephone, written and electronic formats.
• Experience in the use of database software.
• Excellent IT skills and a working understanding of Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work under your own initiative and priorities tasks using problem solving skills.
• Ability to initiate and manage change.

Responsibilities

• Creation, editing and maintenance of clinical locations and appointment schedules to offer annual screening per guidelines.
• Maintain an up-to-date patient database with data validation.
• Issue accurate clinical data and screening results to patients and professionals in a secure environment.
• Maintain policy documents, audit trails and compliance documentation for inspection.
• Dispose of sensitive Personal Identifiable Data securely and per data protection guidelines.
• Ensure a tidy, compliant office environment and maintain stock of stationery.
• Coordinate clinical capacity and attendance by managing appointment slots.
• Identify underperformance and communicate concerns to leadership.
• Consult with ophthalmologists, optometrists, nurses and GPs to ensure appropriate care decisions.
• Act as a key first-line contact with a large patient cohort and external stakeholders.
