Job summary

Engage People Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing finance team in Dublin. You will own the AP function, manage day-to-day invoices, and serve as a key contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders.

This role reports to the Finance Director and offers an opportunity to make a real impact on the finance function within an established business. Dublin 11 is the base for this position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Accounts Payable.
• Strong understanding of the full AP lifecycle.
• Experience with supplier reconciliations and month-end.
• Strong Excel and accounting systems experience.
• Xero experience advantageous.
• Right to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the Accounts Payable function.
• Process and post high-volume supplier invoices.
• Manage supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Complete supplier and nominal ledger reconciliations.
• Manage supplier queries and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and process payment runs.
• Post journals and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support month-end close and reconciliations.
• Assist with audit queries and finance reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline AP processes.
• Support the Finance Director and wider finance team with ad-hoc requirements.

About You

• 3+ years' experience in Accounts Payable
• Strong understanding of the full AP lifecycle

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills
• Must have the right to work in Ireland
