West Galway in Ireland seeks a Retail Baker to lead a high-volume bakery in a progressive supermarket setting. The role requires 5–6 years in a busy bakery, with strong bread production and scratch baking skills, plus experience in managing a bakery team and day-to-day operations.

You will drive daily bakery operations, plan production to meet demand, ensure freshness and quality, train staff, and maintain stock while minimising waste and controlling costs.

We are delighted to work with one of Ireland's most progressive independent supermarket chains in the West of Ireland. We are assisting our client in recruiting an experienced and passionate Baker to lead and support a busy, high-volume Bakery Department in a beautiful and affluent area on the western side of Galway City. Only a 25 mins drive from Roundstone and 40 minutes away from Leenaun. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-6 years' experience working in a busy bakery, with a strong background in high-volume bread production and traditional scratch baking. They should have excellent technical baking skills, a solid understanding of recipes and production planning, and the ability to maintain consistently high standards of quality and freshness. In addition to their baking expertise, the successful candidate will have experience managing a bakery team and taking full responsibility for the department's day-to-day performance. This includes driving sales, managing stock and production levels, minimising waste, controlling costs, and maximising profitability.
