Job summary

Taconic Rehabilitation & Nursing at Ulster in Highland, NY is seeking a Dietary Aide to join the team on a part-time basis. You will provide high-quality meal service and help maintain a clean, safe dining environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

The role supports a resident-centered care philosophy within a team of dedicated professionals. The shift runs 11:30 am to 7:30 pm, with competitive hourly pay and benefits as outlined in the job posting.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals according to resident dietary needs, portion guidelines, and established meal schedules
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and distribution of meals, snacks, beverages, and nourishments
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, dishes, utensils, and workspaces
• Operate dietary equipment safely and accurately record food, beverage, and equipment temperatures
• Assist with inventory, stocking, receiving, and proper storage of food and supplies
• Transport meal carts and food trucks throughout the facility in a safe and timely mannerAccommodate resident preferences and special dietary requests whenever possible
• Follow food safety, infection control, HIPAA, safety, and facility policies and procedures
• Report equipment issues, hazards, accidents, and resident concerns to the appropriate supervisor
