Job summary

Great National Hotels & Resorts in Ennis, Co. Clare, Ireland is seeking a Reservations Agent for our Customer Contact Centre. This full-time role includes evenings, Saturdays, and Bank Holidays as required, with a supportive team and opportunities for development.

You will handle guest calls, manage bookings in our PMS, upsell services, and provide accurate information on facilities. Strong English communication and experience in sales or customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales or customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Good knowledge of Irish geography is beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with hotel or booking systems is an advantage.
• Availability to work evenings, Saturdays, and Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls from hotel guests and assist with reservations.
• Input and manage reservations accurately in the PMS.
• Provide detailed and accurate information on hotel facilities and amenities.
• Process cancellations, amendments, and special requests efficiently.
• Log all calls and correspondence accurately.
• Upsell additional services and packages to enhance the guest experience.
• Manage email correspondence and administrative tasks.
• Achieve individual and team performance targets.
• Stay updated on all hotel policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a sales or customer service environment is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills required for customer interactions
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Good knowledge of Irish geography is beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with hotel or booking systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the hotel or hospitality industry is desirable.
• Availability to work evenings, Saturdays, and Bank Holidays is required.
