Job summary

Sedgwick Ireland's Motor team is expanding and seeks experienced Motor Claims Handlers to join the business. Fully remote role offering the chance to build on motor claims expertise while handling a portfolio of motor files for a key client in a supportive, collaborative environment.

You will manage end-to-end claims from FNOL through settlement, handle complaints, and liaise with suppliers and internal departments.

Qualifications

• APA qualification in insurance or higher.
• Experience in the motor claims insurance environment, specifically FNOL.
• Decision making skills and sound numeric skills required.
• High level interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills.
• Experience working in a dynamic environment.
• General insurance background a distinct advantage.
• Excellent negotiating skills.
• Customer oriented and displays a willingness to meet and understand customer’s needs.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• End to end management of a portfolio of 150+ motor first party and third party files with specific closure and quality targets.
• Handle complaints and CPC requirements familiarity.
• Desktop Liability investigation and determination.
• Proactive investigation and settlement of claims in expedient and compliant manner.
• Management of suppliers/vendors.
• Provide an excellent customer service to our client.
• Work as part of a team, liaising with the client and other departments.
• Represent the business in a professional and positive manner at all times.
• Maintain a positive attitude when faced with challenging circumstances and changing business needs.
• Be flexible with time and travel to other locations if necessary.
