Job summary

AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting Social Care Workers for relief and ongoing agency opportunities across Kildare County. We are looking for experienced and motivated Social Care Workers with a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.

Qualifications

• Requires Social Care qualification for registration in Ireland.
• Current CORU registration where required for placement.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities/autism.
• Experience in residential, disability or high-support services.
• Knowledge of person-centred and rights-based care approaches.
• Understanding of safeguarding, risk management and HIQA standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full clean driving licence for driving manual vehicles in Ireland.
• Garda Vetting or willingness to complete the process.
• Police clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Work with families, advocates and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support individuals with complex needs and implement Positive Behaviour Support plans.
• Manage risks and report safeguarding concerns appropriately.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
• Support safe medication practices in line with training and policies.
• Follow HIQA standards and organisational procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and provide guidance where required.

What You`ll Do

• Experience working within residential, disability or high-support services.
• Knowledge and understanding of person-centred and rights-based approaches to care.

• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Full clean driving licence with the ability to drive manual vehicles on Irish roads.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
