Job summary

Qualifications

• Current CORU registration as Social Care Worker is essential.
• Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care/Social Studies.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience with individuals with complex needs or challenging behaviour.
• Experience in residential care or similar environment.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and attachment.
• Full driving licence valid in Ireland.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.

AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting Social Care Workers for a children`s residential service based in Dundrum, Co. Tipperary.

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified and CORU-registered Social Care Workers who are passionate about supporting children and young people within a therapeutic, trauma-informed residential environment. You will work as part of an experienced care team, providing consistent, compassionate and child-centred support while helping young people develop independence, life skills and positive relationships.

Applicants must be registered with CORU as a Social Care Worker to be considered for this position. Applications from candidates who are not currently CORU registered cannot be progressed.

What You`ll Do

• Provide high-quality, child-centred care and support.


• Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.


• Support individual Placement Plans and Crisis Management Plans.


• Assist young people with education, daily living skills and personal development.


• Support young people with emotional and behavioural challenges.


• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Essential Requirements

• Current CORU registration as a Social Care Worker essential.


• A minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care/Social Studies or an appropriate relevant qualification.


• Relevant experience working with children or young people.


• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and/or challenging behaviour.


• Experience in residential care or a similar environment.


• Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care, attachment and child development.


• A full, clean manual driving licence valid in Ireland.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
