Job summary

Enable Ireland is seeking Relief Adult Support Workers for North Tipperary Adult Services in Nenagh and Thurles. The role involves working as part of a team to support adults with disabilities in day services and in community settings, helping with personal care, mobility, and inclusion opportunities.

The successful candidate will have QQI Level 5 in Care Skills or equivalent, at least one year of relevant experience, a clean driving licence and the ability to work across flexible hours.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Care Skills to include a module on special needs (total 8 modules) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of one year's experience working with adults with disabilities.
• Full clean driving licence with no restrictions and willingness to drive Enable Ireland vehicles.
• Must be eligible to work in the state.
• Effective communication skills and good recording practices.
• Knowledge of social model of disability.
• Good understanding of Adult Protection and Lone working.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team within the adult day service, providing personalised supports including personal care and mobility.
• Support access to services in the community and our virtual day service.
• Encourage opportunities to develop training, employment and greater inclusion in local communities.
