Enable Ireland in Ireland is seeking Relief Adult Support Workers for the Limerick Adult Services team across several locations, offering a variable hours contract and a salary scale from €35,771 to €43,288 pro rata per annum.

You will join a team supporting adults with disabilities, assisting personal care, mobility, community access, and inclusion through local services and a virtual day program.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Care skills to include a module on special needs (total 8 modules) or Equivalent Qualification.
• Minimum of one years’ experience working with adults with disabilities.
• To hold a full clean drivers licence with no restrictions and be willing to drive Enable Ireland vehicles.
• Must be eligible to work in the state.
• Effective communication skills and good recording practices.
• Knowledge of social model of disability.
• Good understanding of Adult Protection and Lone working.
• Experience of working with adults in a day service setting.
• Experience of working in community setting.
• Knowledge of person centered planning and Key Worker system
• Knowledge of New Directions guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Work as part of a team within the adult day service, the service owners own home and residential setting, providing personalized supports.
• Assist with personal care needs, mobility and access to services in the community and on our virtual day service.
• Encourage and support opportunities to develop options for service owners in training, employment and greater inclusion.
