Job summary

AA Euro Healthcare is seeking experienced Support Workers to deliver person-centred care for adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism across South Tipperary. Roles may span residential and day services with flexible hours and shifts, aimed at promoting independence and community participation.

Responsibilities include personal care, record-keeping, and working within a multidisciplinary team while upholding safeguarding and health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Major Award in healthcare or social care, or relevant third-level qualification.
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
• Full clean Category B Irish driving licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently when needed.
• Good record-keeping and report-writing.
• Willingness to complete Garda Vetting and all pre-employment checks.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and support to adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
• Support personal care and activities of daily living.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice and community participation.
• Assist with independent living and social skills.
• Help participate in recreational, occupational and community activities.
• Support individual care plans and programmes.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
