Job summary

ICDS (UK) Ltd. is seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our Cork construction team. You will support commercial management across projects, handle cost control, valuations and variations, and work with experienced professionals to deliver on targets.

This role offers a clear development path in Quantity Surveying with exposure to procurement, financial reporting and subcontractor management. A relevant qualification and strong numerical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction team, supporting the commercial management and delivery of projects across a range of sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career in Quantity Surveying, gaining hands‑on experience across cost control, valuations, variations, procurement and financial reporting while working alongside experienced commercial professionals.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• A degree, diploma or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline.
• Previous experience in a Junior Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within a construction or specialist contracting environment.
• A basic understanding of cost control, valuations, variations and subcontractor management.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with project teams and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Experience within industrial, mechanical services, insulation, pharmaceutical, life sciences or data centre projects would be advantageous, but is not essential.
