Job summary

Elite Talent Hub, on behalf of a leading joinery and interiors client in Edenderry, seeks a Quantity Surveyor to manage tendering, pricing, cost control and commercial management across bespoke projects. You will prepare Bills of Quantities from drawings, price tenders, oversee variations, and work with clients, production and procurement to ensure profitable delivery.

The role offers a salary up to €55,000, a company vehicle, pension and other benefits, with 5 days per week in the Edenderry

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related commercial discipline.
• 1–3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role.
• Experience in joinery, interiors, fit-out, construction or similar environments advantageous.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare accurate tender submissions and project pricing.

Quantity Surveyor

Edenderry, Co. Offaly | €50,000–€55,000 + Company Vehicle + Pension + Benefits

Elite Talent Hub is recruiting on behalf of a leading joinery and interiors client based in Edenderry.

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team and take responsibility for tendering, pricing, cost control, variations and commercial management across a range of bespoke joinery and interior projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who wants to build their career within a specialist and growing joinery business.

The Role

You will be responsible for preparing and managing commercial aspects of projects from the tender stage through to completion.

The role will involve working closely with clients, suppliers, production and the wider commercial team to ensure projects are accurately priced, commercially controlled and delivered profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities from architectural drawings and specification sheets.

• Prepare accurate tender submissions and project pricing.

• Carry out value engineering to identify cost-effective alternatives.

• Source and price joinery materials, ironmongery and timber products.

• Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and lead-time information.

• Follow up submitted tenders and work with clients where adjustments are required.

• Monitor material, labour and equipment costs throughout projects.

• Identify potential cost overruns and opportunities for cost savings.

• Manage and record all project extras and variations.

• Prepare and submit variations to clients for approval.

• Prepare weekly/monthly progress claims for submission to Accounts.

• Monitor project commercial performance.

• Produce weekly tender and claims reports for management.

• Work closely with Project Management, Production and Procurement teams.

• Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related commercial discipline.

• Ideally 1–3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role.

• Experience within joinery, interiors, fit-out, construction or a similar environment would be advantageous.

• Strong numerical and analytical ability.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• The ability to work independently and manage deadlines.

• Strong commercial awareness.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• A practical and proactive approach to problem solving.

• Good knowledge of construction materials and pricing.

Experience with bespoke joinery, high-end interiors or commercial fit-out would be particularly advantageous.
