Job summary

Vickerstock is partnering with a leading Ireland-based construction contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their Dublin-based commercial team. You will manage commercial performance from tender through to final account and close-out, working on live building projects with a strong emphasis on cost control, risk, and value optimisation.

Qualifications

• Appropriate professional qualifications in Quantity Surveying.
• A minimum of five years' experience gained with a building contractor.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Excellent IT systems knowledge.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider project and commercial team.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation and familiarise with commercial objectives, budgets and targets.
• Assist with post-tender negotiations and contract preparation activities.
• Manage procurement and appointment of subcontractors.
• Attend and contribute to pre-award meetings.
• Prepare and maintain contract documentation, schedules and records.
• Manage interim applications, valuations and variation accounts.
• Carry out measurement and cost control activities.
• Monitor project accounts and process payments.
• Produce commercial reports throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage contractual correspondence and support final accounts agreement.
• Finalise subcontractor accounts and project financial close-out.
• Ensure project documentation and filing systems are maintained per procedures.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial and contractual performance of building projects from pre-contract and tender stage through to final account and project close-out.
