Job summary

Novo Fox Consulting is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Dublin team, delivering commercial leadership on fit-out projects. You will work with the Commercial Manager, Project Team, and Design Team to ensure projects are on programme, to specification, and within budget.

You will liaise across cost control, procurement, and reporting, with a focus on risk management, value engineering, and accurate cost forecasting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Experience in fit-out or construction contracting.
• Familiar with RIAI and GCC forms of contract.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the Commercial Manager and report on progress.
• Procure subcontract and supplier packages, issue tender enquiries and compile tender reports.
• Identify risks, raise concerns and propose value engineering opportunities.
• Monitor all commercial aspects of projects through their lifecycle.
• Work with Project and Design Teams to meet programme, detailing and specification requirements.
• Prepare cost reports and forecasts.

Our client is a leading commercial fit-out contractor in Ireland, delivering high quality projects for some of the country’s largest organisations.

The Role

Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Dublin team and play a key part in the commercial delivery of their fit-out projects. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will work closely with the Project Team and Design Team to ensure projects are delivered on programme, to specification and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with and report to the Commercial Manager
• Procure subcontract and supplier packages, including issuing tender enquiries and compiling tender reports
• Identify risks and raise concerns, and propose value engineering opportunities where appropriate
• Monitor all commercial aspects of projects throughout their lifecycle
• Work with the Project Team and Design Team to ensure programme, detailing and specification requirements are met
• Prepare cost reports and forecasts

Skills and Experience

• Qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Commercial experience in a contracting environment, ideally within fit-out or construction
• Working knowledge of RIAI and GCC forms of contract
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A strong team player who builds good working relationships
• Ability to meet targets and manage competing deadlines
