Quantity Surveyor - Dublin
Vickerstock are pleased to be partnering with a leading construction contractor on the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor to join their project management team, working across major construction projects in the Dublin area.
Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play an important role in the commercial management of CSA packages, with responsibility across procurement, cost control, change management, valuations and commercial risk.

You will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the administration and change order process associated with CSA packages.
- Ensuring all changes are captured, assessed and appropriately costed before being issued to the Design Team and Client.
- Preparing tender and contract documentation, including Bills of Quantities, in conjunction with the project team and/or client.
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project works.
- Assisting with establishing client requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
- Performing risk, value management and cost control.
- Advising on procurement strategy.
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks.
- Preparing and analysing costings for tenders.
- Allocating work to subcontractors.
- Providing advice on contractual claims.
- Analysing project outcomes and preparing detailed progress reports.
- Valuing completed works and arranging payments.
- Maintaining an awareness of the various forms of building contracts currently in use.
- Ensuring an understanding of and compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Working closely with the wider project team to support successful commercial and operational delivery.
- Contributing to a strong safety culture across the project by promoting safe working practices and maintaining high standards onsite.
What you will need
- 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- 3+ years' experience in a similar Quantity Surveying role.
- Working knowledge of Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) work package measurement and costing.
- Experience in commercial management, procurement, cost control and change management.
- Experience working on large-scale data centre projects would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with project teams, clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
- A good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
