Job summary

Inform3 Recruitment in Dublin is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in General Contracting to join their established commercial team. The position involves cost analysis, tender preparation, sub-contractor procurement, and interim valuations on projects up to €50M.

You will work closely with subcontractors, manage variations, value certificates and ensure accuracy in Bills of Quantities, with a focus on delivering value and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in QS or Construction management.
• 5+ years of experience with a Building Contractor.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Project.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts
• Ensure sub-contractors are pre-qualified in accordance with management systems
• Procurement of sub-contractors and preparation of sub-contractor order documentation
• Assessing and certification of sub-contractor interim payments
• Re-measurement of Bills of Quantities
• Carrying out Material Take-offs
• Preparation of Interim valuations and final account
• Managing and valuing variations
• Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation on contracts
• Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships
• Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by teams, individuals and yourself

Our client is a Tier 2 Building & Civils Contractor with a strong foothold in the Irish Market working on projects valued up to €50M.

They have a growing order book and are on the lookout for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in General Contracting to join their already well-established commercial team.

The Role
