Job summary

ConstructionJobs.ie is seeking a hands-on Quantity Surveyor for an ongoing project in Dundalk, with future work in Belfast and North Dublin. The role reports to a Commercial Manager and offers substantial potential for the right candidate.

Location: Dundalk. Salary: 80-90K. Duration: Permanent. Experience with a main contractor or subcontractor in the UK or Ireland is preferred, with a view to supporting multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Approx. 5 years' experience with third level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Experience with a main contractor or sub-contractor in the UK or Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Cost monitoring and reporting using Construction Computer Software.
• Procuring, Reviewing and approving selected contractors /suppliers.
• Ensure Contractual correspondence in accordance with contract terms.
• Continuously monitor the project to ensure that it stays on time and in budget.
• Taking off quantities from drawings for insertion into estimate cost templates.
• Preparation of enquiry documentation utilising standard pro-forma to establish competitive packages.
• Analysis of subcontract quotations to enable normalisation and comparison to use most competitive return within our submissions to clients.

Our Client

Our client is a very well established large main contractor in the UK, Ireland and select countries iu Europe. They are heavily involved in capital project for large pharma. Technology and Food companies. which they construct turnkey from "first sod" to commissioning and handover. Projects would range from €50 million to €250 million.

Quantity Surveyor

Location: Dundalk

Salary: 80 - 90K

Duration: Permanent
