Oriel Recruitment, on behalf of an established offsite construction and manufacturing business, seeks a Project Manager to oversee projects from contract award through design, manufacture, site installation and handover. Based in Cahir, Co.

Tipperary, the role involves regular travel to sites across Ireland and close collaboration with clients, design teams and site contractors. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects in construction or offsite manufacturing.
• Ability to read architectural/structural drawings and interpret design information.
• Strong knowledge of construction programmes and site operations.
• Commercial awareness including cost/variation management.
• Proven organisational and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initial handover through to completion.
• Develop and maintain programmes covering design, procurement, production, delivery and installation.
• Coordinate project requirements across design, commercial, manufacturing, logistics and site teams.
• Review drawings and manage design changes and approvals.
• Monitor factory production and ensure timely materials delivery.
• Coordinate site mobilisation, deliveries and subcontractors.
• Attend client, design and site progress meetings.
• Monitor budgets, variations, labour, materials and subcontractor costs.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure health & safety, quality and contractual compliance.
• Manage snagging, project documentation and final handover.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders.

The Role

Oriel Recruitment is hiring on behalf of an established offsite construction and manufacturing business.

The Project Manager will oversee projects from contract award through design, manufacture, site installation and final handover. Working closely with clients, design teams, factory operations, commercial colleagues and site contractors, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

The role is based in Cahir, Co. Tipperary, and will involve regular travel to construction sites throughout Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initial handover through to completion.
• Develop and maintain programmes covering design, procurement, production, delivery and installation.
• Coordinate project requirements across design, commercial, manufacturing, logistics and site teams.
• Review project drawings and manage technical queries, design changes and approvals.
• Monitor factory production and ensure materials are delivered in line with site requirements.
• Coordinate site mobilisation, deliveries, installation teams and subcontractors.
• Attend client, design and site progress meetings.
• Monitor budgets, variations, labour, materials and subcontractor costs.
• Identify project risks and implement corrective actions where required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality and contractual requirements.
• Manage snagging, project documentation and final handover.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and project stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

• Project management experience within construction, modular construction, offsite manufacturing or a related construction environment.
• Experience coordinating projects across design, production and site installation.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong understanding of construction programmes and site operations.
• Commercial awareness, including experience managing project costs and variations.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project-planning software.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.

Desirable

• Qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Experience within Light Gauge Steel (LGS) construction or LGS framing systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Experience with structural framing, panelised building systems or manufactured construction products.
• Knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), BIM or offsite manufacturing.
• Relevant project management or health and safety qualifications.
