Job summary

Parker Stewart is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to take full ownership of delivery on site across civil engineering and building projects in Limerick. You will run the programme, cost, quality and safety while coordinating with clients, design teams and subcontractors.

The role is site-based with real authority and accountability, based in Ireland, with a strong salary and package commensurate with experience. Previous public works or environmental project exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in construction or civil engineering.
• Delivery track record across public sector, civils, building or private/residential.
• Experience with contract administration frameworks (PWC, RIAI, FIDIC or NEC).
• Degree or HNC/HND in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, with safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery from inception to handover, managing programme, cost, quality and safety.
• Direct site teams, subcontractors and suppliers against targets.
• Interface with client, design team, consultants and stakeholders weekly.
• Control procurement schedules, budgets and resource planning.
• Identify and recover programme slippage promptly.

Job description

We're hiring on behalf of a long-established Munster contractor working across civil engineering, building, demolition and environmental projects for public and private clients, with a strong pipeline of work across the region. Two positions available.

The role: Full ownership of project delivery from inception to handover. You run the site - programme, cost, quality and safety - with the client, the design team and your subcontractors all looking to you for answers.

What you'll actually be doing:

• Leading delivery from inception to completion - programme, quality, safety, cost
• Managing site teams, subcontractors and suppliers against agreed targets
• Fronting the client, consultants and stakeholders week to week
• Controlling procurement schedules, budgets and resource planning
• Spotting programme slippage early and putting recovery in place before it costs you

What we need:

• 5+ years' project management experience in construction or civil engineering
• Delivery track record in at least two of: public sector, civils, building, private/residential
• Contract administration - PWC, RIAI, FIDIC or NEC
• Degree or HNC/HND in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
• Safe Pass and CSCS

Nice to have:

• Experience on public works contracts
• Demolition or environmental project experience
• SMSTS or equivalent
