Job summary

Parker Stewart is recruiting on behalf of a long-established Munster contractor for a site appointment in Cork. The role can be a Project Manager or a Senior Project Engineer stepping up with an established site team behind them.

You will lead site delivery, manage teams and subcontractors, liaise with clients and the design team, control procurement and budget, and ensure quality and safety from handover.

We're hiring on behalf of a long-established Munster contractor working across civil engineering, building, demolition and environmental projects for public and private clients, for a site appointment in Cork.

The role:

The title follows the person. We're open to an experienced Project Manager, or to a Senior Project Engineer ready for the step up with an established site team behind them.

What you'll actually be doing:

• Leading site delivery — programme, quality, safety and cost
• Managing site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Acting as day-to-day contact for the client and design team
• Controlling procurement, resource planning and budget
• Owning the technical and quality record through to handover
• Flagging programme and commercial risk early

What we need:

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• PM level: 5+ years' project management in construction or civils
• Senior Project Engineer level: 4+ years' site engineering and ready to step up
• Experience across public, civils, building or private/residential
• Irish contract forms — PWC, RIAI, FIDIC or NEC
• Safe Pass and CSCS

Nice to have:

• Demolition or environmental project experience
